And what a decade it was! Thanks to cell phone cameras, blogs hitting the mainstream, TiVo, and the immediacy of stories hitting the internet, this decade gave us no shortage of memorable moments.

- Charles Barkley’s footrace with Dick Bavetta to raise money for charity during the 2007 NBA All Star Weekend.

- Bruce Pearl (KKK stand-up comedy routine, painting himself orange while shirtless, boat photos)

- Bud Adams shoots Bills fans double middle-fingers from is luxury box. Adams was wearing a baby blue suit complete with white shoes. (11/15/09)

- The Florida Panthers Playoff Promise Plan. Fans were encouraged to buy tickets to four games of their choosing and if the team does not qualify for the playoffs in April, you get all of the tickets refunded. (2/9/09)

- Manny Ramirez disappears into the Green Monster for a reported ‘bathroom break while pitching coach Dave Wallace makes a mound visit (7/18/05)
- The “Bluegrass Miracle” LSU quarterback Marcus Randall took the ball and threw it from his own 18 yard line as far as he could downfield. Soon after Randall released the ball, triumphant Kentucky fans stormed the field around him. The pass was well short of the end zone by about 20 yards. However, the ball was deflected off the hands of LSU wide receiver Michael Clayton between the Kentucky 25 to 20 yard lines, into the hands of LSU wide receiver Devery Henderson just short of the 15 yard line. Henderson broke the shoestring tackle of the last Kentucky defender, and ran into the end zone with the game-winning touchdown. Kentucky players were so confident that they had won the game that they gave head coach Guy Morriss a Gatorade bath before the final play had taken place. (11/9/02)
